Suzanne's Pizza-Grillin' Party!

Tonight, after Euchre night, Suzanne had us all over for her first party at her new apartment! We got to make our own grilled pizzas. Grilled pizzas are my FAVORITE!!! She made all the dough beforehand, and had the toppings ready.

Suzanne, working the grill!

Nancy slicing up a pizza.

Just a small sample of all the delicious combinations we all made! God they were good.

Eating pizza!

At the end, we made dessert pizzas! Here is ben with the peaches and jam pizza!

Curtains!

Mom made roman shades for all the rooms in Ben's and my place! SO AWESOME. She and Dad came over tonight to help us install them. It was scary watching Ben and Dad hang the curtain over the stairwell! These curtain pictures are a sneak preview. Before & Afters coming soon!

Charlie Progress

So, I have had my kitties in the house now for eleven nights. I kept them in the guest room for six nights. Pretty much as soon as I let them out, Emma marched all over the house like she's been living there forever.

Charlie, of course, ran down to the basement and hid. He's never lived in a house with a REAL basement before. It's probably like heaven to him! Anyway, after eleven nights, we have finally started to see some progress. Tonight he was brave enough to come to ALMOST the top step, and sit there for a little while.

Car Accident

So today, I was coming home from some errands, and I got into a car accident. The lights at the intersection were broken. My light was flashing red, which means "four-way stop." I stopped for a long time, made absolutely SURE no one was coming, and proceeded through. That is when I got hit by a guy flying through the light.

I guess his light was flashing YELLOW. Even though he apologized profusely to me, and the police officer said he was absolutely at fault, the insurance company is telling me there is a good chance that he will NOT be considered at fault, because his light was yellow and mine was red.

He had to be coming pretty fast up Columbus Road, because I sure didn't see him coming at ALL. This suuuuuuuuuucks! The good news is that the car is fixable. There was some fear that it would not be. Estimate $1,970.25! I sure hope I don't have to pay the deductible. I guess it'll take a few days to figure everything out. Here is my poor car:

From the police report. My vehicle is U-2.:

Moving Day

Today is the day that I moved out of my apartment and into Ben's house! I had a lot of helpers: Ben, Justin, Elliot and Tom. Tom and I shared the U-haul, and we all helped him move later that afternoon. Twins!

I will not miss these stairs. Not at all, not one bit.

There's the U-haul!

Justin and Tom loading up my truck.

Eek, I have a lot of stuff!

There is all my stuff!

Look at how trippy the U-haul was:

Mom hooked us up with an AWESOME lunch! It was delicious. Thanks, Mom!

After we unloaded the truck at my house, we headed over to Tom's house. Here's Ben, Justin, Elliot and Tom after moving the piano into the truck. It was terrifying to watch. I weighs like a billion pounds!

Unloading into Tom's new place! Elliot plays the piano in the truck.

Living room!

Bedroom!

"Second bedroom" although only a baby could call it a bedroom? Total false advertising!

Bathroom!

Kitchen!

Back yard, where we enjoyed a few well-deserved beers.

Ben playing on the truck, as Elliot plays some tunes.

Ben and Elliot playing "Garbage Men!"

Ben sliding down the U-haul ramp. Whee!

Time to move the piano into the house. SO HEAVY!

And, it's in! Before/after pictures of the house project coming soon!
